Lifetalk offers counselling sessions to individuals, couples and families, seeking to walk alongside persons as they face and deal with the realities of life. Through listening and working together, we seek to gain new perspectives that offer hope and healing.
Our counsellors counsel people dealing with abuse, anger, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, grief, family, marriage, performance, pre-marital, relationships, self-esteem, stress, trauma, and unresolved past issues, and more.
As a fee-for-service agency, Lifetalk uses a sliding scale fee structure that calculates fees according to family income. We are also a charity, and will not refuse counsel to anyone because of their inability to pay. Anyone needing subsidy can make arrangements at the first appointment with their counsellor.
Lifetalk assures that its counselling staff are Christian in orientation, however, our counsellors are committed to working respectfully with clients whether they share this orientation or not. About one half of our clientele do not claim regular religious affiliation. Counsellors seek to be there for the client's benefit and will not impose their beliefs on clients. Most clients attend because a previously satisfied client referred them to us.
