Free to Change Domestic Violence program for Men
Patterned after the Sheriff King Home model in Calgary, AB., this program
is acceptable for court ordered domestic violence treatment.
Ten sessions One-One counselling format Begin as soon as referred to the program.
More sessions may be offered, depending on the needs of the client.

Fees: Clients pay according to Lifetalk’s sliding scale to accommodate their financial needs. Subsidy available when qualifying need given to facilitators.
Program Philosophy - Everyone has the right:
To a life, that is free from abuse To be treated with dignity To be treated with respect
regardless of age, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation or social class
Program Goals
Provide information and tools to break the cycle of abuse for participants and their children
Conditions for the program
Men will participate in a Risk assessment with regards to re-offending.
Men must agree to a Lifetalk staff member periodically contacting their victim while in the program.
