Rationale
· In today's highly competitive workplace, many employees struggle to balance the increasingly complex demands of work and personal lives. In fact, in any given year, 15-20% of a work force experiences personal problems around issues such as: relationship concerns, emotional stress, family conflict, workplace relationships, parenting challenges, substance abuse, aging parents, legal problems and financial difficulties.
· If left unresolved, these everyday problems may lead to diminished personal well-being and compromised job performance.
· The community, family, workplace and the individual employee are all interdependent. To create meaningful change, the sphere of influence which will inspire changing attitudes and cultures must be extended to the entire system.

Price
· Minimum one year contract)
· Company by paying $90 per hour for counselling sessions on a usage basis, invoiced monthly.

Lifetalk provides:
· Confidential, caring and professional counselling.
· Counselling for workplace, individual, couple & family issues.
· Assessment and referral to appropriate services.
· On site safety presentations re: preventing enabling at the workplace.
· Follow-up services.
· A resource library of books & videos.

What Lifetalk will not do:
· Interfere - Lifetalk counsellors will remain neutral in all matters pertaining to the employment relationship. While this is clear to counsellors, oftentimes clients are looking for advocates or for their counsellor to “tell them what to do”. SEAP counselling is about ensuring that clients are aware of all their options and helping them to make their own, well-considered decisions.
· Provide the following assessment services: fitness for duty, fitness for disability or stress leave, court mandated child custody assessment.
