PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP - JUNE 2010 - Alma Fourie, PhD.


One-Day Workshop: “Children of Divorce”            Friday 25 June 2010 from 9:30am to 4:00pm.

The workshop is for teachers, social workers, therapist, counselors and other professional working with children and families of Divorce.

Cost $30.00  Location: Room 207, CCC Bldg, 327-3rd St W. Brooks. Call 403-362-2210 to register.

“Active Parenting of Teens” - a six week video seminar offering skills, discussion and support to guide your teens through what is certainly the most turbulent period of their lives.  Cost $110/person, $140/couple. Facilitated by Arnie Weber. Begins September 15/2010, 7-9 pm.

“Anger and Its Many Faces” - a six week seminar offering a thorough and practical look at anger and its generators. Participants will learn how to deal with frustration, hurt and fear before they are expressed as anger. Cost $90/person, $120/couple. Facilitated by Bronwen Rutter.  Begins  September 14/2010, 7:30-9:30pm.

“Walking Alongside the Depressed” - a seminar enabling participants to understand depression and current treatments to encourage friends and family to helpfully walk alongside those struggling with depression. Cost $20/person. Facilitated by Arnie Weber.

“DivorceCare”
thirteen week video/discussion group focused on finding healing and hope in the midst of separation and divorce. 

Subsidy is available for those who indicate need to the facilitator at the first session.
